Koncepció:
Az underground fesztiválok kiváló példái annak, hogyan formál az emberek jó része sarkos véleményt valamiről anélkül, hogy ismerné. Sosem vett részt, mégis tudni véli, hogy kik járnak oda, mit csinálnak ott…. Ezeket a negatív előítéleteket szeretném a képi világommal eloszlatni.

Több mint 10 éve lelkes fesztivállátogatóként megtanultam felfedezni a pillanat varázsát, amit próbálok a képeimen keresztül visszaadni. Csodálatos érzés elkapni a megismételhetetlent, legyen az egy szokatlan jelenet vagy egy érzelemgazdag portré. Szeretem, ha a képeim üzenetet közvetítenek – akárcsak a zene: nyelvi és kulturális korlátok nélkül. Szeretek a fotóimmal mosolyt csalni az emberek arcára.

A negatív sztereotípiák helyett a fesztiválokról a saját, képekkel alkotott véleményemet szeretném bemutatni.

Minden generációt és szituációt fotografálok – a festőművésztől és a zsonglőrtől kezdve az öttagú brazil családon és a sárban fetrengő szerelmes páron át a hintázó gyerekekig -, hogy minél több nézőponton keresztül kínáljak “kóstolót” a hangulatból, természetesen az önfeledt bulizók szemszögét is láttatva.

Abban hinni, hogy egy kamera tesz téged nagy fotóssá, ugyanolyan egyszerű gondolat, mint azt hinni, Roger Federert a teniszütője tette világbajnokká. Nem ettől függ a siker. Mert hiába viselnénk ugyanazt a farmert, mint Gisele Bündchen, nem csinál belőlünk szupermodellt, és hiába is főznénk Wolfgang Puck lábasokkal, csak ettől az egy tényezőtől még nem lesz belőlünk mesterszakács. A szem te magad vagy.

Theme: “That’s how you do festivals, that’s how you party”

Underground festivals are great examples of how a majority of people form rigid opinions about something that they themselves have never experienced. They have never taken part, but they seem to know what kind of people festival goers are, how they spend their time at these events… These are the negative prejudices I would like to dissolve through my visual world.

In the 10 years of my own enthusiastic festival experiences, I have learned to discover the magic of the moment, which I try to give back through my photos. It’s an amazing feeling to capture the unrepeatable, be it an unusual scene or an emotive portrait. I love it if my photos convey a message, just like music: without language or cultural barriers. I love it if my pictures make you smile.

Instead of the negative stereotypes about festivals, I’d like to present my own opinion in images.

I photograph every generation and situation – from artist and juggler through the 5-member Brazilian family and the lovers rolling around in the mud to the kid swinging on a swing, so that I can offer a ‘taste’ of the atmosphere from as many perspectives as I can, including the viewpoint of carefree partyers too.

To believe that a camera makes you a great photographer is just as foolish as to believe that Roger Federer’s tennis racquet is what made him a world champion. This is not what success depends on. Wearing the same jeans as Giselle Bündchen, doesn’t make anyone a supermodel, cooking with Wolfgang Puck pots does not in itself make someone a master chef.

The eye of the beholder is none other than you.
